•    Development Committee - Members of this committee are responsible for locating the resources needed to build houses (i.e., people, material and money). A background in fundraising is helpful and preferred.
•    Volunteer Committee - The Volunteer Committee works to identify, recruit, utilize, retain and recognize volunteers in order to carry out the ministry of Habitat for Humanity.  Duties include special events, representing Habitat KC in the community, and supporting the volunteer department staff with policies, programs and activities.
•    Construction Committee - Members of this committee are responsible for long term and strategic planning.  This includes duties such as site selection and acquisition, house design, organization of the construction plan, setting policies for house specifications and overseeing the quality of construction. Members should have construction expertise.
•    Family Support Committee - Members of this committee help our partner families make the transition from renter to homeowner.  Duties include coordinating homeowner education classes, ground breaking ceremonies, house blessings, and workshops.
•    Family Selection Committee - This committee is responsible for choosing our partner families and recommending them to the Board for final approval.  Duties include hosting orientation sessions, establishing eligibility criteria, screening applications and conducting home visits.
