Owning a home is the American dream. Habitat for Humanity Kansas City is here to help you find the path to home ownership. We work with community leaders, neighbors, corporate sponsors and a host of volunteers to offer families in need the opportunity to own a home at cost, with a no-interest mortgage.
The first step in the homeownership process is to come to an application session. Copies of government issued cards and proof of income are required. Please look at the Homeowner Application tab in the drop-down menu above for more information on required documents.
Habitat Kansas City is not an emergency shelter provider. It can take a year or more from the beginning of the application process to the final completion of the build. If you need immediate housing assistance, please contact your local United Way at 2-1-1 (phones are answered 24/7, 365 days a year).
After reviewing the information in this section on owning a home, if you still have questions, please call our office at 816-924-1096 or email our Director of Family Services.
