There's more to working with our families than just building a house. We work with our families to prepare them to become homeowners and we offer supplemental programs to assist them and others in our neighborhood:
Food pantry: Our office keeps a small food pantry stocked by donations and a partnership with Harvesters food bank. People who need food assistance must show a photo id, have proof of address (utility bill), and show social security cards for everyone in the household receiving food. Pick up days are Tuesdays & Saturdays from 1:30-4 p.m. For more information, please contact our Family Services department by calling 816-924-1096.
Backpack Repack: While many places collect school supplies at the beginning of the school year, many children need new supplies for the spring semester. Our Backpack Repack event takes place in January to help restock the supplies kids will need to successfully complete the school year. If you have items you'd like to donate, or if you'd like to sign up to participate in this event, please contact Family Services.
