Volunteers are vital to our mission, helping us keep prices low and providing consistent operations across our entire organization. Volunteering at Habitat ReStore allows you to have fun and make a difference while giving you the flexibility to choose your own schedule.  You can work as little as three hours a month or as much as several times a week. You may volunteer by yourself or come with a group of friends or coworkers. While no building or construction experience is necessary, your commitment to helping rebuild our community is. When you play a part, it helps make us whole.

Volunteer Opportunities
All volunteers must be at least 16 years old, wear closed-toe shoes and be able to lift at least 25lbs.

Individuals
Volunteer staff work on the sales floor, helping customers find building materials, or in receiving, helping to unload trucks and measure and price materials for sale. Office work is also an option either answering the phone or data entry.

Groups
We can accommodate groups of up to 10 people for at least a four-hour shift. Groups work on team building projects that help them work together and have fun making a difference.

Community and Learning Service
If you need community service or learning service hours, Habitat KC ReStore is a great place to learn about the environment and give back to our community.
